AFTER-CARE

Keeping your sani-derm wrapping in tact for 3-5 days is recommended.  24 hours minimum if necessary.

Sani-derm is a water proof bandage also known as “second skin”.  Note that warm temperatures will affect your bandage’s adhesive.  Best time for removal is in the shower.  Using warm water, gently roll away the edges.

Thoroughly clean the area.  Be sure to completely dry the skin.  Apply a generous layer of ointment to the tattooed skin prior to applying the new bandage.  Press into skin to ensure proper adhesion.

After removing your bandage, wash at least twice daily.  Keep moisturized liberally.  Repeat for 14 days following your session.

Try to avoid scratching or picking at the area.  UV exposure during the first four weeks can affect your tattoos’ healing.  Also during this time, avoid soaking in water (CRITICAL during first 14 days).  Avoid excess sweating & unsanitary surroundings.  Be careful to not “over moisturize”. This can also affect the appearance of your healed tattoo.
